Real Alternative is a simple and efficient audio and video reproducer that has the most important features of the well-known Real Player, but using less PC’s resources. When we run it, we can see the simplicity of its interface based on the Classic Media Player: a visualization window, a menu bar on the top and the reproduction panel with the most important functions.

To reproduce videos we can choose from dragging the files to the Real Alternative window, or choosing between the different options to load files from the menu: Quick Open File (fast load), Open File (load per origin), Open DVD (for DVD reproduction) and Open Device (load files and devices simultaneously). With Real Alternative, you can also load and search subtitles.

If what we want is to create a reproduction lists, we must select Playlist; from the View menu. A box will be opened where we can drag & drop the multimedia files. Inside the reproduction list we will be able to select the execution order.

Our files have direct access with Real Alternative through the Favorites function. By clicking on Add Favorites we can add the file in reproduction to a permanent list in the same menu.

Another interesting option is the After Playback option, inside the Play menu. Through this function, you can tell the reproducer what to do after the reproduction. You can select to close the reproducer with Close, to remain in Stand By, to suspend the computer with Hibernate or to restart it with Shutdown. But choosing Log Off this will be disconnected from the connection.
