K-Lite Codec Pack is a Codec Pack to watch any type of multimedia file. It is a codec compilation completely safe. It will not cause problems with any of your system elements since it automatically detects and warns if something can cause problems with the codecs we are going to install. When the download finish we can install K-Lite Codec Pack. If other codecs or filters are already installed in the system, K-Lite Codec Pack will let us know to uninstall or deactivate them to avoid compatibility problems. We click on Next and select the place where we want to install K-Lite Codec Pack.

In this step we will be able to select what Codecs we want to install. We can choose between different types of installations, including or not, Media Player Classic.

Once the installation is finished, we will be able to reset all the files associations and/or simply open the set up box.

We can also set up the codecs that appear at the end of the installation, but this is for advanced users.

To reproduce video files with Media Player Classic, click on File and then on Quick File Open or simply drag the file to the program window.

Remember that Media Player Classic includes DVDs support (doesn’t need expensive reproducers like PowerDVD) and a loading subtitles option by making click on Open file and loading the subtitle in Sub - loading the corresponding video file.

When reproducing multimedia files an icon will appear to set up certain Codecs - although these functions are for advanced users. It is also possible to access these options by the icons created in Start -> Programs -> K-Lite Codec Pack -> Filters
